Reviews:

I love this! - (Raymond on 28 December 2009)
The amazingly convenient and comprehensive 3000+ classic library is one of the many reasons that Mobipocket is my favorite ebook format in the first place! I love how you can browse through and discover all these lesser known but good works by major authors. For example, it has 60+ novels by Dickens alone! Who actually has read or paid attention to them all? Treasures galore. I wish they would include more playwrights, though. Buy it! Tremendous value for your money.

Good value for the money. - (Kim on 13 June 2008)
I originally wasn't going to purchase this because you can get most of these for free. However, there were several authors that I couldn't find on the free sites and it would have cost over $20 to buy the works I wanted from just 4 of the authors I couldn't find. The downside is you get huge files instead of seperate book files, but overall, a good value for the money.

Amazing works - (Peter Sinclair on 29 May 2008)
A truly amazing collection to have in your pocket! I have found the books quite accessible both on the PC and on my HTC Touch Cruise smart phone. The only matter the publisher should FIX is the author - shown as various for each collection. This should be the name of the Author whose collection it is!!

Great collection - (sandee on 5 April 2008)
Although the works contained in this library are available for free at Project Gutenberg and MobiPocket Creator (also free) will convert the files into MobiPocket format, I simply don't have the time. The amount of time it would take me to download and convert all of these files is worth orders of magnitute more to me than a measly $20. I love this collection.

Useful to a degree - (Philip on 2 April 2008)
I truly do appreciate the wealth of books contained in this resource. It is well worth $20. I Started by Reading "The Man in the Iron Mask." I found it very difficult to navigate if I lost my place, so I went onto Project Gutenberg, downloaded it, Used Word to make it user friendly, and then the Creator to add a Table of Contents. It is now much easier to find my way around. I will probably use this resource to find a book to read, start it, and if I like it convert it using the above method.

Hasn't anybody heard of an SD Card - (Leroy on 17 March 2008)
I get so frustrated with mobile users complaining about books taking up space on their device. For heaven's sake GET AND SD CARD. It's that little slot on your mobile device. It's so simple. This way you don't use up any space on your device. You can access all the books from your removable SD card. It's fast and they don't cost much at all. I also think having each author bundled together is very convenient. Once I get into an author I usually stick with him/her for a while.

Giant files are useless - (Hank Roberts on 8 March 2008)
Thank you Robert Sawyer for the warning: "Instead of giving you a separate file for each book, the books are clustered into giant files, one per author. If you want to read Dickens, you better have TEN MEGABYTES free on your device...." Back to Project Gutenberg.

Free books continued... - (CLP on 28 February 2008)
The previous reviewer has missed the GREAT VALUE this collection has over what you get with Project Gutenburg. Although the Gutenburg texts may be free downloads, they are virtually useless because they are just raw text. THERE AREN'T ANY NAVIGATION FEATURES. Mobipocket reader makes it easy to navigate any title. Plus, having them on Mobipocket gives the ability of other features suchas: Bookmarks, Highlighting, Definition Lookup, and many more features. For such a reasonable price, this collection is well worth every penny.

Free books - (Gutenburg on 26 February 2008)
These are all out of copyright, and are available to download for free (legally) from Project Gutenburg. You can get just the ones you want and not pay a thing.

Largest Library I've ever seen - (Lisa on 11 January 2007)
It's amazing how many titles are in this collection. I always have something new to read. It is easy to use and navigate through the library. My friends are amazed how many books I read. With this library, it is so easy. Thanks Packard Technologies

Combined Collections Make It Easy - (carlos on 4 January 2007)
This is a wonderful collection that is arranged by author. I think the author combinations are much better than separate files. Especially when you have a library with over 1,000 works like this. It is simple to choose and author and then select a book. Instead of having over 1,000 books to scroll through, I only have to scroll through the authors then pick the author I want, and then the book. I can pick which authors to load, or I can load them all on to my sd memory card.

Awkward, consisting of giant multi-book files - (Robert J. Sawyer on 29 November 2006)
Not happy with this at all. Instead of giving you a separate file for each book, the books are clustered into giant files, one per author. If you want to read Dickens, you better have TEN MEGABYTES free on your device, 'cause that's how big the Dickens file is. Here are the actual 23 files you get (these aren't zips containing smaller files; these are single giant Mobipocket files containing several books or works): Alexandre Dumas - 5092KB Alfred Lord Tennyson - 2051KB Charles Dickens - 10176KB Charlotte Bronte - 1111KB Edgar Allan Poe - 996KB Henry W Longfellow - 1002KB Herman Melville - 1556KB Jack London - 4960KB James Fenimore Cooper - 6603KB Jane Austen - 1470KB Jules Verne - 986KB Leo Tolstoy - 3251KB Louisa May Alcott - 2588KB Lucy Maud Montgomery - 1756KB Mark Twain - 5563KB Nathaniel Hawthorne - 3593KB Oscar Wilde - 1096KB Robert Louis Stevenson - 5128KB Sir Walter Scott - 7118KB Washington Irving - 2492KB William Shakespeare - 2109KB William Thackeray - 5439KB Wuthering Heights - 282KB

Most Affordable - (Keri on 13 November 2006)
An excellent collection at a great price. With this collection I'll always have something new to read wherever I go. Very easy to use.

Excellent Collection - Easy to Navigate - (lisa on 13 November 2006)
I can't believe how many titles are in this one collection. IT'S AWESOME. Every book includes links that make it easy to navigate to the chapter you want. Also having each author's books bundled together makes it very convenient.
