I have two notebooks, 1 netbook and 2 Symbian Mobile Phones - do I really want another device - NO:!:
I purchased a couple of Dictionaries for my Nokia 6110 and a few books - now I decide to upgrade to a Nokia 5800 and find out that there isn't a Mobireader for it and most likely no plan to create one.
My Mobile phone weighs 109 grams and can take photos and videos, play MP3s and movies, send / receive e-mail, remotely control my computers using VNC, guide me to wherever I want to go (GPS), read PDF files, read, modify and create word, excel and powerpoint files, tell me the weather, surf the internet, tell the time, calculator & converter, watch TV, MySQL database, Apache and PHP server, Webcam and even as a strobe light (if your into disco) - or you can make it a flashlight too! Not to mention that it also makes phone and video calls and text messaging. It also has twenty plus games and the capability to hold a 16GB MicroSD card (only got 8GB at the moment - but since I have 3 of them - can't see any point in upgrading to 16 - yet). Looks like I left out that it also has Skype, Barcode reader and FTP facilities along with Bluetooth and wireless networking - there are probably heaps of other programmes that I haven't yet put on the phone and if and when I need them - will search for them.
Can someone please explain why I would want an additional device:?:
Looks like I will just have to go back to reading PDF's - the only reason I used Mobireader in the first place is because PDF's were difficult to navigate - since my 5800 screen is about 40% larger I have found that PDF's are readable. I already have 100's of documents in PDF format and as and when I wanted them on my phone I was converting them to Mobireader files - no longer need to convert them - but I will miss the functionality of being able to look up a word from one e-book in one of my dictionaries.
I am curious 'Amazon' has your 'Kindle' taken off
