The book "In the Jaws of the Dragon" is $17.13 on Amazon. Can this price be placed on Mobi?

I just heard about the book "One Second After" and wish to purchase it. I have an Irex Iliad . I did not purchase it once I saw the price. This book is available in paper back from many retailers. Here is the mobi link http://www.mobipocket.com/en/eBooks/eBookDetails.asp?BookID=213836
And the amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/One-Second-After-William-Forstchen/dp/0765327252/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254236173&sr=8-1

Mobi: 24.95

Amazon:
Hard Cover: 14.58
Paper Back: 10.11
Kindle: 9.99

That's kinda sorta.. just a bit ridiculous don't you think? The HARD COVER price is 40% less then the mobi e-book price. I won't even comment on the Kindle price... Something fishy is going on here.

Hello there, I noticed that the following ebooks are priced the same as a hardcover:

Dead And Gone by Charlaine Harris: US$9.99 on Barnes & Noble, US$25.95 on Mobipocket.com
Frostbitten by Kelley Armstrong: US$9.99 on Barnes & Noble, US$26.00 on Mobipocket.com

I understand that maybe for newer releases the price will be higher (on Barnes & Noble, older books in the series are US$7.99, so the new releases are US$2.00 more), but selling an ebook for $26 is much too high. At least if I get the actual book, I can use it to feed a fire or whack someone on the head. Please revise the prices. Thank you very much!

E-Books should be five bucks, nine for new release and top tier. Dictionaries should cap at nine bucks and be multiformat downloadable. Do I really need to but another $26.00 dictionary for Mobi when I have one on the same computer in PDB ?

Mobi ! Wake up !

I have read and enjoyed the First Light Chronicles and the the first book, Resurrection, in the follow up Spinward Fringe series but I am afraid I'm going to stop there until I can find them cheaper somewhere else. There are five books in the series and at around $7.95 a time, that works out at $39.75 for the series or around £25+ our UK prices. I wouldn't mind except the books are only a third to half the read of other average works. Like the writing and storyline; shame about the price. Couldn't you put them together as in the First Light Chronicles?

You can get them at Smashwords as well: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/randolphlalonde - at least they are without copy protection there.
