Hello

The latest beta version for the Storm Reader is the version 6.0 build 080.

For the navigation, it is different than on the other devices for this eBook.
You can use the TOCs and hyperlinks to navigate to the part of the eBook you want.
(by opening a menu -> clicking on Navigate and then using the TOC that appear at that point and the hyperlinks)
Have you tried navigating this way? Is this what you mean by "difficult to navigate with"?

Kind Regards

I can navigate to the table of contents with no problem. With a font of 24 it is difficult to select a book and when I do it presents the message "no dictionary is available for this language". I get the same message if I try to go to chapter and verse. When I increase the size of the font to 32 it selects several books at once then goes to matthew. With the smaller font I can select Revelations and it goes to that book.

Can you tell us where you found/bought the scriptures?
We don't see the eBook in your account.

The scriptures I bought are from LDS bookclub. I did download the demo Mormon Church Sacred Texts from Mobipocket with the same results/problems.

I have the same problem. The links for chapters and verses within the books are impossible to select, even with the largest fonts. There needs to be some sort of pointing device to assist, or the program at least for scriptures is virtually unusable.

BB app is useless for Storm

BB app is useless in current form. The only way to turn pages is with the spacebar on Storm. This makes Mobi absolutely useless as the keyboard takes up 60% of screen, leaving room for only 4 lines of book text. Whoever designed this obviously never tried to use it on a touch screen.

Why can't you enable the touch to turn page function like in the WinCE version for PDAs, or even autoscroll? Or under Settings let us re-assign a button to turn pages w/Mobi open? Until some sort of change is made, Mobi is utterly unusable on the Storm (& probably all other touch screen phones.) Only being able to use 40% of the screen for book text is ridiculous!

Please help, I have 6GB of books purchased in Mobi format which are unreadable (since I changed platforms,) until you improve the Reader. Crying or Very sad

We are looking into the issue, dadiod, mercc79.

Spambone,

You have to install the Beta BB Reader version, which has the touch screen support.
Before installing it, make sure to read these the installation procedure:

"The only way to turn pages is with the spacebar on Storm."

Actually, sliding your finger across the screen will flip the page in that direction. It wasn't obvious and if you came from another device like I did, you expect a click to move you to the next page.

My problem is with the hyperlinks. Once highlighted, they are treated as regular text and the program tries to find them in the dictionary. It makes it impossible to move to move from scripture to scripture as is common practice.

I did find that I could get to a table of contents by activating the keyboard and clicking T. It would be nice to see a list of keyboard commands somewhere. Is one out there?

Finger sliding does not work on my Storm 2. The only way to turn the page is to have the keyboard showing and hit 'space'. I wish I had waited to buy my e-book until this problem was fixed. Sad

Go Cat Dave

UPDATE!!! I just updated my Storm 2 firmware to the latest one and now the swipe works. Yay!!
