I tried downloading the beta client from http://m.mobipocket.com/ -> "Download Mobipocket Reader" -> "Java Phones (Beta)" -> "Download the .jad file (click here)"

I get the following error after clicking on the .jad link:

Title: Download Failed
The issue has been reported. Please try again later 909 Application Authentication Failure MobipocketReader

Does anyone know why this might be happening and how I can get this application to install correctly on my Samsung Reclaim phone?

The .JAD's signature certificate is outdated on the site.
Try to install the .JAR only if your phone allows you to do so.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to change the time on my device (I think it is designed not to let me . . .) and it also doesn't let me install from a .jar only. Oh well.
