Hi,

I have mobipockt reader with loads of ebooks from a number of stores, including Mobi. I have purchased a new computer and wish to transfer the whole collection over. I won't be using the old PC after -- the disks will be reformatted and the system will go to one of my children.

So, how do I

(a) move the whole lot over -- I see an Import option, but no complementary Export option, and
(b) How do i replace the PID presumably embedded in each file with the one for the new PC.

Please note that, apart from the PC as reader, I have two Iliad readers, but the PIDs for those will remain as they are of course. All of the stores I've used allow the three uses.

Is there any way to get help concerning MobiPocket books when I need to move them to a new device?

My question has stood here now for seven weeks, and no one has deemed it important enough for it to merit a reply?

Maybe this is the wrong Forum? Dpn't Mobi support staff come here at all?

No, Mobipocket does not answer here any longer. You have to use the email support at the top of the forum home page.

As for your question. Mobipocket allows 4 PID's So you should be able to add another PID here at Mobipocket. If you as you said purchasing from sites that only allow 3 PID's then you will have to delete a PID from that store and add your new one. For each book that you purchased for the PC you will have to re-activate it for your new PID. It shouldn't affect your Illiad's though
