I am a proud user of Mobipocket and I am delaying my purchase of a 5800 as there´s no compatible version of Mobipocket for it.
Please recompile it for S60 5th Ed.

Recompiling the UIQ version in some way should do it. Touch-screen friendly, etc. Don't know how complicated it is, but the functionality and code are there.

However, I'd say forget it. Crack the DRM-infested books you already bought and forget about Mobipocket. There are other solutions. ZXStyles just added FB2 support with basic formatting, and with Any2FB you can convert the usual batch of file formats to FB2. It kinda reminds me of Mobipocket as it once was.

What really bugs me though is how can a company that people really loved watch its core user base fragment and leave in frustration and often anger and not do anything about it. Even a simple "we're discontinuing support, there will be no new versions" would make better PR sense than fostering a batch of increasingly more disgruntled former users and, subsequently, horrible WoM PR...

You have not heard the news then. Amazon bought Mobipocket. We are no core usersany longer. Kindle users are core users. We are just a unwanted sideline for the all mighty Amazon corporation.

As it is Amazon picked the cheries from the mobipocket pie and leaves the rest to die.
